Police secure area so a helicopter could land and transport an injured person.

On Monday, October 30, a man's truck was stolen in the late afternoon. The owner of the truck found his truck and the thief somehow, which remains unknown. The man confronted the thief somewhere on Owl St. in the Booker T. Community in Monroe, LA. When he caught the thief, who was allegedly his brother-in-law, he stabbed him several times. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, ambulance and paramedics, the victim was found in critical condition and needed to be airlifted to be saved. There was no place in the Booker T. Community supposedly where a helicopter could land, so the stabbing victim was transported to Renwick St. between Miller Funeral Home and Marbles Community and was air lifted to Shreveport Hospital according to sources. There was not an official police report on this story reported, yet witnesses witnessed the helicopter landing and taking off. Thanks to several Dispatch sources who gave an account of this incident as best of their knowledge. There are three sides to every story. This was one side of this story. The Monroe Dispatch welcomes another or the other side of this story.
