Shootings Continue

It’s difficult being a young person and the question why remains overwhelming? According to police reports, police officers were sent to the 1200 block of South 3rd St., Monroe, LA in reference to a shooting on Tuesday, October 24. The initial investigation revealed that Dominic Dickens was shot one time in the left leg. Dickens was walking down South 3rd St when a black vehicle drove by and one of the occupants inside of the vehicle began shooting at the victim several times. Dickens was taken to a nearby hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. Two other shootings occurred on Wednesday, October 25. one at the Parkview Apartments and the other one at Louis Lock Apartments. One person was shot at both locations, and the Louis Loch victim died. According to Law enforcement the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
