Monroe Dispatch - No Struggle, No Progress

On Sunday, October 15, the Monroe Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Board ended the application period for those interested in participating in the competitive civil service examination for Monroe Police Chief. Applications to take the exam were accepted between September 16 and October 15, 2017. A total of 13 candidates have officially signed up to take the exam. The Civil Service Board approved the list of qualified candidates at a meeting held Tuesday, October 17, at the City of Monroe’s Public Safety Center.
